Leamington & District Sunday Football League Division 5 Cup Runners Up 2005 - 2006
It was the beginning of the millennium, 2001. A Dynamo Odyssey was born.
Three wise men travelled east to Leamington from Hampton Magna, Hampton On The Hill and Barford bearing a great gift, the gift of football! Paul Dudgeon, Phil Aymes and Andrew Court had a dream. A club fashioned from friendships, work places and random folk met in pubs that would one day grace the Brandish Vauxhall Leamington & District Sunday Football League.
With Aymes as Chairman, Dudgeon as Team Manager and Courty as Financial Consultant, they scoured the length and breadth of the country to find a Coach worthy of moulding a team fit for Kings. They couldn't find one though, and thus Carl Fort was drafted in for the role. Aymes drafted a club constitution and the league approved the clubs status as part of the Birmingham Football Association. However, there was one thing missing.... a name. Suggestions ranged from Real Leamington Spartak to Grasshoppers Leamington, but Aymes ignored them all and opted instead for Dynamo Leamington. A rose by any other name wouldn't have smelt so sweet. The rest, as they say, is history! Dudgeon remained as manager until Reno Whitehead took over in the summer of 2008. Aymes flew the nest and was replaced by Daniel Whittle after two years in the hot seat. Courty surrendered monetary control to Jeremy Bowley who eventually passed the responsibility to Whittle and Carl Fort returned to the realm of Hampton Magna to tend Goldfish and nurture Bonsai Trees. Players have come and gone but the spirit never dies.
The future's bright, the future's black and red!
Skinny.
